I have a Noritz 0751M model from installed more than 10 years ago. Still working but every so often hot water shuts off with error code 16. Any advise on repair or is it time to replace? Appreciate your input, thanks.

Not many realize this should be done annually on a tankless water heater or combi boiler.

None of this worked, gas pressure is fine, ignitor and flame sensors were cleaned and also replaced, water heater was disassembled and all dirt and debris was cleaned out, still error code 12.

Mine is set to 140 but monitor 31 says it’s 149 and monitor 49 is 100.

Conversion of NG to LP on the NRC111DV

The previous owner of the house never flushed the unit for 6.5 years. So i went to flush it and it caused leaking in the unit. I had to replace the whole thing. I opened up the broken unit and found out it was all rusted inside and parts just broke when I went to flush it. My 2 cents would be if the unit was never flushed in years it is probably wise to let it be until it breaks and start afresh with a new tank. Also I used a 1/4 hp pump to flush it which has water flow rate of 2000 gph. Correct me if I am wrong because I dont know much about water flow rate and how it affects the heater. I know on an average house the water flow rate through the piping is about 360 gph. I dont know if the higher gph of the pump has anything to do with breaking it. Anyway i use aquarium tank pump now that has a gph of about 300 to 600 which I can control. No isuues in last 5 years so far.

You can do this while it's on. Probably better to do it while it's heating the blades.

Had myEZ111dv for almost two years now no issues. Just got error code 11. Did everything these punts said. No work. They never mention the Ignitor box might be shit. It just made sense so I checked it with my multimeter and numbers jacked. So looked online could get the part for $52 OEM from store in New Jersey but I'm in Cali socal. Looked on Noritz website, the punts wanted 93$ for same part? So a plumbing store can make profit buying it from mfr sell at 52$. Yet Noritz sells to public at twice as much. Fugging scumbags. Noritz corp an hr drive I could a had hot water a day earlier if I wanted to get ask rammed. Noritz are greedy kunts. Plus found out my warrant no good cause I installed it myself. It was simple install if have half a brain and I did it perfect considering it worked flawlessly for two year. This is part of scam they run with dealers so it forces you to pay dealers to install it and bend you over for installation. Three thousand dollar machine and dealer gets two grand to install it. I did it myself in 2.5 hrs. Fugging scam. Oh plus they are taught they get you three hundred bucks yearly for their descaling lol. I do it myself so simple. Noritz wants like $250 for their descale equipment. I bought my own for 50$. So go fugg yourselves noritz you scam money grabbing puntz.

We just did the flush for 30 minutes and stop to see if there were some settlement at the bottom of the bucket? Yes there were some, but when we restart it the process very litel water came out of the hot water valve? So, once again we restarted the process but still very little water pressure was coming out of the hot water valve? Any ideas?

Need more information on where the ignitor is in the unit

My bucket tends to fill with water over a few min, I have to bail out water to keep it from overflowing. I have both cold & hot water supply turned off as shown at 0:54.

Trying to do a flush as shown and the pump will not push the solution out back into the bucket. is there an internal on/off valve inside the unit? it is as though there is an internal blockage however the unit heats and runs fine. What is disallowing solution to cycle? I have all the valves set as shown in video. I know there is pressure because solution is leaking out of the drain/screen plug which is temporarily seated.

2:37 Does the water filter cap come out by hand? Mine was pretty tight and I ended up breaking with a wrench. I had to replace with a new one and applied silicone faucet grease around the threading but was still quite hard to tighten it.

Just saved me a $600 rural call-out to fix my error code 11. Cleaned the igniters and everything is working. Brilliant.

How low can the steady btu go? In Texas we sometimes experience the same issue discussed. Many times we'll see the btu requirement drop as low as 10k btu.

I just cleaned my unit and realized I forgot to clean the water filter. How much gunk are people seeing in their water filters? Also, I was surprised that the vinegar coming out was clear after 4 years of use. We have a water softener tank that gets replaced every 2 weeks, so that may have something to do with it.

3-4 gallons of a 50/50 mix of CLR? That sounds very expensive. Is it superior to the much cheaper alternative of big box store distilled white vinegar? Also, can the typical 30% cleaning vinegar be used in a 1:5 ratio with tap water (to get to 5% acidity of food grade vinegar)? I can't see why not, but when calling your customer service the woman mentioned that it is not recommended and could damage the system.

I have two Noritz water heaters connected to each other. What is the process for flushing these as I recall there is an extra step with the wiring to flush the 2nd one? Thanks.
